Originally from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Sarah attended the University of Kansas where she earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism. Kansas City became home for more than a decade, and she established herself as a leader in the sales and marketing field at one of the world’s largest independent publishers. Over nine years she served in many capacities including Digital Sales Manager and Marketing Manager, rising to the level of Director of Marketing. In 2019 she completed Yale University’s Leadership in Publishing program. Sarah’s many strengths include proficiency in best practices for social media, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), analytics, and content management. Her creativity and excellent writing skills make her an outstanding addition to our team focusing on the execution of a successful social media and marketing strategy. Sarah and her husband were married on the North Shore of Oahu in 2012, and they fell in love with the islands immediately. The following year, they traveled to Maui and that was it. Now, Makawao is home where, in her free time, Sarah enjoys gardening, renovating her 1923 plantation house, and taking her German shepherd, Cora, to the beach.
